LEWISTON – A committal service for Vernon W. Becvar was held on Monday July 24, at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Augusta with the Rev. Raymond Lagace officiating. There were military honors from the U.S. Navy who played taps and presented our country’s flag to Raymond Becvar, son of the deceased. The pallbearers were Richard, James, Dana, Kevin, Peter and Joshua Becvar. Arrangements were by the family-owned Pinette Funeral Home.
