CARRABASSETT VALLEY – Sonya and Richard Dearborn of Kingfield recently purchased a slice of Sugarloaf Mountain tradition, D’Ellie’s sandwich shop. They plan to continue the 20-plus years of food and service.
As a former customer herself, Sonya Dearborn has experienced the high quality homemade soups, fat sandwiches on homemade bread and bakery items that the shop is famous for. As someone who loves to cook and share her food with others, she won’t dream of changing the things that work.
The crew whips up daily specials and several soups Monday through Friday and service is available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the summer. Once winter hits, D’Ellie’s is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. seven days a week. D’Ellies serves breakfast and lunch and can be found at the top of base area on the ground floor of Village West.
