Lewiston – Theodore B. Strasen, 78, of Auburn, passed away Monday, July 24, at St. Mary’s Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born on May 29, 1928, in India, the son of missionaries Bernhard and Henrietta Strasen.

After a military service that included action in the Korean War, he married the love of his life, Dorothy Minichiello and together they raised their family in the Lewiston/Auburn area before living in many locations through out the United States and Latin America. They returned in 1990 to enjoy their retirement years in Auburn.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Strasen; sons, Eric Strasen of Plano, Texas and Kurt Strasen of Brookline, N.H.; daughter, Lisa Leavitt of Gray; grandchildren, Michelle Leavitt of Bangor, Ryan Leavitt of Gray, Matthew Strasen of Stillwater, Okla. and Jessica Strasen of Plano, Texas.
