PORTLAND – The Maine International Trade Center announces two recent hires.

Amanda Pike, a graduate of McGill University and former MITC research assistant, has joined as program and membership manager. Pike has a long family history in the pulp and paper industry in Maine and will cover that sector as well as add new seminars and events to FY2007 trade education program series.

Anne Hurst has joined the Trade Center to head the Trade Assistance Department. Hurst recently completed her masters at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts; she has lived and studied in Germany and India; worked at the German Bundestag in Berlin; and German Book Office in New York. She was trained in international trade and technical skills by Cory Crocker, MITC former trade assistance manager.
