AUBURN – Bethany H. Platt, 75, of Minot, died on Thursday, July 27, at Hospice House.

She was born in Lewiston on Dec. 11, 1930, the daughter of Harry and Elsie (Rice) Hawkins. After graduating from Edward Little High School, she went on to Winthrop Community Hospital Nursing School.

She married Donald Platt in 1951. She traveled with Donald during his military career, returning to Maine in 1960, and residing in Minot for 28 years. She worked at Central Maine Medical Center for two separate periods as a clinical technician and retired in 1998.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Donald; son, Raymond Platt of Burbank, Calif.; sisters, Geneva Lehman of Greene and Christine Schultz of Tucson, Ariz.; grandson, Phillip Platt of Lewiston; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Orrington, Wallace, Donald, Robert, Kenneth and Paul Hawkins; and a sister, Marion Atkins.
