Rummage sale

RANGELEY – There will be a rummage sale hosted by the Episcopal Church Women in the church undercroft, Main Street, from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, and from 9:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, Aug. 3. Items will include clothing, household goods, boutique and baby clothing specials.

Club speakers

WILTON – The Christian Women’s Club will meet from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, at the Boiler Room. Angela Fletcher from A Touch of Heaven will teach techniques for easing stress. Those attending may enter a drawing for a free massage. Jean Bisnett of New York will speak on “Coping Skills for a Lifetime.”

The cost is $12 and all women are invited. Reservations are essential; call Betsy at 562-8395 or Jane at 645-2282.

RANGELEY – The Rangeley Public Library is gearing up to publish a local phone book. The project has existed since 1977 and it is updated periodically.

The directory is a major fundraiser for the library, an historic landmark on Lake Street. Letters have been sent to previous advertisers, but new businesses are encouraged to contact Barbara Burgess at 864-4354 or e-mail [email protected].
