Ross William Morin recently completed his first year in the Master of Fine Arts Program for Film and Video Production at Ohio University with a 4.0 grade point average. In addition, Morin received Ohio University’s 2005/2006 outstanding teacher assistant award.

In August, Morin will attend the University Film and Video Association annual conference in Orange, Calif., to participate in a panel discussion, “A Novel Education: New Ways to Study Film, Culture, History and Theory.” In addition, his short film, “At Night,” will be screened at the conference. “At Night” was also screened at the Athens International Film and Video Festival in March.

Morin is a 2001 graduate of Edward Little High School. He graduated summa cum laude from Connecticut College in 2003, where he majored in film studies and psychology. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Psi Chi and the National Dean’s List.

He is the son of Kristel Wagner of Auburn and Louis Morin of Greene. His grandparents are Joan and Raymond Morin of Lewiston and Naomi Wagner and the late Arthur Wagner of Livermore and Auburn.
