RANGELEY – Police are investigating burglaries at two businesses on Main Street where an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.

Entry was gained into Scoop’s Ice Cream store Tuesday after a front door was forced open, police Chief Phil Weymouth said Friday.

The previous night’s deposits were taken, he said.

Dockside Sports Center was broken into through the back door, and money was stolen from the cash register on July 21, he said.
