The Associated Press article of the “giant breast” (July 28) was quite informative, but why in the world would you publish the very same photo of a naked breast that had ticked off so many people in the first place (and rightfully so)? Heck, even 25 percent of Babytalk’s subscribers were offended by it, despite their own love for babies and positive views on breastfeeding.

Whether right or wrong, the majority of Americans do not associate the act of breast-feeding as a nurturing, life-giving act. Instead, thanks mostly to today’s media, the breast is a body part meant more for sexual activity and arousal than one for nourishing a child.

This oh-so-obvious blunder on your part ranks right up there with the time you published that photo of the young girl paralyzed by a snowboarder underneath a photo of a snowboarder. And let’s not forget one recent Sunday’s photo/article, “The best chest.”

I would never deny the many positive aspects of your publication; however, they do seem to be diminishing on a daily basis. I imagine the only reason you are able to maintain your readership is the fact that the Sun Journal, unfortunately, is the only game in town.
