NEW SHARON – Carol Phillips of Madison and David Phillips of North Anson would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Holly Ann Phillips, to Toby John Pond, son of John and Wendy Pond of New Sharon.

The future bride graduated from Mt. Blue High School in 2001 and earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from the University of Maine at Farmington in 2005. She is currently employed at Sweat Winter Day Care.

The future bridegroom graduated from Mt. Blue High School in 1999 and joined the Maine Army National Guard in 2000. He currently serves full time as a sergeant with the recruit sustainment program at the Augusta Armory.

The couple will be married in October.
