Am I missing something? Windows were scratched and a pig’s head was thrown into a mosque. Now the Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating?

Nothing was destroyed, vandalized or stolen, and nobody was killed.

Let us take a look at other things that have happened in Lewiston, Auburn, Litchfield, Gardiner, Bangor and Brunswick.

My father’s store windows were broken, not once but twice. At St. Peter’s Church, fires have been set. St. Patrick’s was broken into and items stolen. In Auburn, a church put in very narrow windows to keep out vandals. In Gardiner, the Baptist church was vandalized some years back. A church in Bangor was burned to the ground. In Litchfield, a school was burned to the ground and, in Brunswick, a school was vandalized. Some Jewish synagogues have been vandalized.

Other towns have had bad things happen, I’m sure, but this gets the FBI called in? Why?
