NORWAY – Gerald A. Micklon, 63, of Norway, passed away at his home on Tuesday, Aug. 8, with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Pownal on April 26, 1943, to Clarence and Elizabeth (Greenleaf) Micklon.

He married the former Vira Pratt on Sept. 30, 1978.

He had worked for many years at A.C. Lawrence Leathers in South Paris as a manufacturing supervisor. He also worked in Milwaukee at Midwest Tanning as plant superintendent.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He enjoyed his three cats, Pumpkin, Fluffy and Lucky, who were great comfort to him during his illness.

He is survived by his wife, Vi, of Norway; three sons, Mike Micklon of Norway, Richard Moody and companion, Kerry Foster, of Albany, and Larry Moody of Waterford; two daughters, Ann-Marie Micklon and life partner, Mike Trytek, of Chelsea, and Jane and her husband, Kerry Munn, of Norway; two brothers, Charles Micklon of Lovell, and Rick Micklon of Otisfield; two sisters, Delma Staley of Bridgton, and Phyllis Libby of Naples; and nine grandchildren, Benjamin Moody, Erik Munn, Elliott Munn, Nicolas Moody, Charles Munn, René Moody, Devin Foster, Brenna Foster and Whitney Chamberlin.
