RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Grace E. Hamel was celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, at St. Athanasius & St. John Catholic Church.

The Rev. Angelo LeVasseur was the celebrant. Mark Belanger was the organist. Special music selections were “Ave Maria,” “Be Not Afraid” and “Amazing Grace.” Readings were read by Claudette Hladik and Kelly Boca.

Pallbearers were Michael and Walter Newman, Kirk, Freddie, Tim and Wayne Hamel. Interment was in St. John Cemetery with committal prayers offered by Deacon Rod Berger. A reception followed in the parish hall.

Services were under the care of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home, 250 Penobscot St., Rumford.
