LEWISTON – Lewiston Adult Education is accepting registrations for fall classes. Area residents are invited to participate in a wide variety of courses designed to help people energize their mind, get fit and feel good, eat happy and healthy, learn new skills and prepare for college.
Program brochures listing more than 140 courses were recently sent out to all Lewiston and Auburn residents and placed in sites throughout the community. A complete listing is also included on the newly designed Lewiston Adult Education Web site, www.lewistonadulted.org. Many classes begin the week of Sept. 5; others begin later in the fall.
Since some classes fill quickly, interested adults are encouraged to register early. It can be done by mail, phone, fax or online. In-person registration takes place daily at the Adult Education office located in the lobby of Lewiston High School. Fees may be paid by check, money order or by MasterCard or Visa.
Featured this semester are many new classes, including Chinese, Japanese and Thai cooking, a Sudoko workshop, Real Estate 101, Woodworking, Get Fit, the Franco-American Experience, Italian for Travelers and the World of Google. Old favorites include painting, knitting and crocheting, rug braiding, yoga, landscaping, computing, medical billing, Electricity in the Home, English and math.
For more information, see the fall program brochure on the Web site or call the office at 795-4141.
