BURLINGTON, Vt. – Monica L. Libby, 44, a resident of Main Street, Monmouth, went to glory to join her Lord and Savior, and her dad/papa, on Monday afternoon, Aug. 7, at Fletcher Allen Trauma Center in Burlington, Vt., after a sudden illness.
She was born on July 26, 1962, in Dover-Foxcroft, daughter of Arthur R. and Helen L. (Degerstrom) Libby.
She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister and companion.
She attended Glen Cove Christian Academy and was very active in sports and in the choral group. She had a beautiful singing voice. She was a graduate of Kennebec Valley Christian Academy of Waterville.
She worked as a benefits coordinator and part of the team at GHS Data Management in Augusta, working there for more than 20 years. Monica began working there on Dec. 6, 1985.
Prior to working at GHS, Monica worked as a cashier at Wickes Lumber in Fairfield and Zayre’s in Augusta.
She enjoyed time spent with her son and family. Monica loved animals, particularly horses. She also enjoyed reading, dancing, music, singing, hockey and Mazda cars.
She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by her son, Tyler Libby of Monmouth; her mother, Helen and step-father Robert Perkins of Augusta, whom she referred to as Pops; a sister, Kathy Brush and her husband, Charlie, and their children, Brian, James and Stephen of Monmouth; and her companion, Aaron Mistich, also of Monmouth.
She was predeceased by her father, Arthur R. Libby.
