SOUTH PARIS – Clinton E. Seams, 75, of Oxford, died Wednesday, Aug. 9, at the Market Square Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Otisfield on Dec. 24, 1930, the son of Charles Edward and Marjorie McAllister Seams. He attended schools in Otisfield and Oxford.
He married Eunice Seams on July 29, 1948. She predeceased him in 1980. He worked many years in the woods and owned his own excavation company. He served in the National Guard Reserves. He also played guitar and sang in various musical bands.
He is survived by three daughters, Laurice Loef and her husband, Bernhard, of Norway, Karen Seams of Norway and Jean McNally and her husband, Everett, of Stuart, Fla.; three sons, David Seams and his wife, Linda, of South Paris, Steven Seams and his wife, Tammy, of West Paris, and Dale Seams and his fiancée, Lisa Wilson, of Waterford; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Christina Drew of Raymond and Pearl Delan of Harrison; and four nephews.
