LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – Jeannette M. Pare, 93, formerly of 158 Pine St., Lewiston, died Wednesday, Aug. 2, at Lehigh Acres, Fla.

Born in Lewiston on Nov. 15, 1912, a daughter of Hector and Delia Cote Belhumeur, she attended Lewiston schools and graduated from Jordan High School in 1931.

She was married to George W. Raymond, who died Nov. 23, 1969. In 1973, she married Harvey Pare, who died March 4, 1989.

Mrs. Pare was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, and served in the parish choir. She was also a member of the Civic League of Women and Lewiston Senior Citizens. She worked as a house mother for Central Maine General Hospital School of Nursing.

She enjoyed singing, crocheting and knitting.

She is survived by a daughter, Doris Moulton, also of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; a son, Wallace “Pete” Raymond and his wife, Mary, of Inverness, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Reginald (Beatrice) Fogg of Dover, N.H., and Mrs. Robert (Jeanne) Neil of Berlin, N.H.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husbands; her parents; and a son, Paul A. Raymond, who died in May 1994.
