LEWISTON – Eva Ouellet, 98, a resident of 102 Campus Ave., formerly of Meadowview, died early Monday, Aug. 14, at St. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion.
She was born in Berlin, N.H., April 26, 1908, the daughter of Cyrille and Imelda (Montminy) Duquet. She married Alphonse Ouellet in 1942, and raised her family as well as having worked in the local shoe industry. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and playing cards with friends. She was a very loving and caring person, and will be greatly missed by her family.
Survivors include two daughters, Jeanine Arey and her husband, Curtis, of Lewiston, Rita Hellstrom and her husband, Benjamin J., of Ellicott City, Md.; one stepdaughter, Cecile Ouellette of Lewiston; and eight grandchildren, Marc H. Levesque, Andre H. Levesque, Ingrid E. Hellstrom, Sondra L. Hellstrom, Diane Reynolds, Irene Couillard, Therese Smith and Normand Ouellette.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alphonse Ouellet in 1989; six brothers; and four sisters.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Jeffrey Brown, and the staff at St. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion for the loving care shown to our mother during her illness.
