AUBURN – The Auburn Recreation Department is planning several youth football programs this fall.
Registrations are now being taken for the Auburn Rec 7th-8th Grade Football Team. Entry fee is $110 for Auburn residents and $145 for non-residents. Equipment will be issued Friday, August 18 at 5 p.m. at Hasty Gym at Pettengill Park. First practice is set for August 21 from 5-7 p.m. at Chestnut Street Field.
Registration for the Auburn Rec 5th-6th Grade Tackle Football Program ends on August 25. Fee is $70 for residents and $90 for non-residents. Evaluations will take place on August 28 at 6:15 p.m., with equipment to be issued at 7:15. Volunteer coaches are needed.
Also planned is the Auburn Rec 3rd-4th-Grade Tackle Program. Registration fee is $60 for residents and $80 for non-residents. Player evaluation is slated for August 28 at 5:15, followed by equipment issue at 6:15. Again, volunteer coaches are sought.
The Auburn Rec Football Camp is taking place this week at Chestnut Street Field.

A special football registration session is set for Saturday, August 19 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the APRD. Players can sign now and pay later.
Lewiston Middle School
LEWISTON – Registration for the Lewiston Middle School football team will take place Thursday and Friday, August 17-18 from 6-7:30 p.m. behind the LMS locker room.
Entry fee is $20. Players need to bring a copy of their latest physical. Equipment will be issued Saturday, August 20 from 9-11 a.m.
A parent-players-coaches meeting is set for Monday, August 22 at 5 p.m.
