At the risk of sticking my nose into another state’s politics, I can’t help but wonder what Connecticut’s Democrats are thinking about. Did they vote against Joe Lieberman just because of his stand on the Iraq war, or because he supported President Bush?

If they’re truly opposed to the Iraq War, regardless of who is at fault – OK. But if they are opposed just because a Republican president is involved, that’s another thing.

I would hope that voters of any party would either support or oppose any such action on its own merits, not because it involved a Republican or Democrat.
