Lewiston – James “Jim” Frederick Lovely, 75, of Mechanic Falls, died Monday, Aug. 14, at Central Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Poland on May 26, 1931, the son of John and Louise Lovely. He graduated from Edward Little High School in Auburn and had been a letter carrier in Lewiston before retiring in 1983. He married Irene Mynahan in 1957. He faithfully served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a 25-year member of the Elks Club in Lewiston, a member of the American Legion Post 150 and Tyrian Lodge 73 both in Mechanic Falls.
He is survived by his wife of Mechanic Falls; three sons, John and his wife, Kathy, of Mechanic Falls, James and his wife, Nancy, of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Joseph and his wife, Rebecca, of Boston, Mass.; two daughters, Susan of Mechanic Falls and Anne of Pittsburgh, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Bolduc; a sister, Marilyn Trundy of Mechanic Falls; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Mary.
