AUBURN – Judith E. May, 64, a resident of 1875 Minot Ave., died peacefully early Saturday morning, Aug. 19, at home with her family by her side.

She was born in Melrose, Mass., on Sept. 19, 1941, the daughter of Winston and Bertha (Evans) Emery. She attended Melrose schools, and following her education moved to Maine, where she became an administrative assistant at Gould and Scammon for more than 25 years, retiring in 1997.

After retirement, she enjoyed her camp in Carthage, and her dog “Molly.” All will remember her great sense of humor, as well as the poetry she wrote for her family to enjoy. It meant so much to her to be with family and her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin “Bud” May, of Auburn, whom she married on Sept. 20, 1987; one son, Buddy May and his wife, Susan, of Oxford; one daughter, Terri Northrup and her companion, Ray, of New Gloucester; two stepdaughters, Stacy Veilleux and her husband, Lee, of Buxton, and Dinah Bishop of Windham; one sister, Connie Monahan and her husband, Richard, of New Hampshire; six grandchildren, Stephanie, Vinnie, Vinnie, Adam, Taylor and Jordan; and her dog, Molly.

She was predeceased by two sons, Daniel and Vincent Northrup.
