Cal Thomas, in his column Aug. 15, clearly stated this country’s feeble response to the crisis facing it and the world.

Being civil will not defeat perverted people.

Thomas closed by saying, “Who can doubt their ultimate objective?” Muslim extremists said it long ago: “Kill all Americans and Jews.”

Is that not a call to immediate, decisive action?

There is no room for politics in this crisis.
