ENCINITAR, Calif. – Chester Albert Carville, 66, passed away Aug. 19, in Encinitar, Calif., after a short illness.
He was born Feb. 19, 1940, in Lewiston, the son of Lester and Mary Stella Carville. He grew up in Lisbon, graduating from Lisbon High School in 1958. He attended the University of Maine at Orono and joined the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, graduating in 1962, with a degree in civil engineering.
He was employed by Edison and Fugro before starting Carville Structural Engineering and Construction Co. specializing in disaster recovery. He spent his leisure hours at his ranch raising and racing horses with his wife, Kimberly.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Carville of Encinitar, Calif.; his mother, Mary Stella (Rosen) Carville of Lisbon; his two daughters, Pegan Soutar of Isla Vista, Calif. and Cathleen Wilholt of Lakewood, Calif.; four grandchildren, Joshua and Tessa Marie of Isla Vista, Calif. and Dylan and Daltan of Lakewood, Calif.; a brother, James Carville of Lisbon; and four sisters, Nancy Murtie of Stuart, Fla., Connie Wilson of New Bern, N.C. and Marion Bussiere and Linda King, both of Lisbon.
He was predeceased by his father, Lester E. Carville.
