Bush-haters and other poll worshippers who wait for others to tell them what to believe often say things like:
“Just because I oppose the war doesn’t mean I don’t support the troops.”
“Just because I oppose President Bush doesn’t mean I don’t support the war on terrorism.”
For the sake of argument, suppose these poll worshippers wanted terrorists to win, what would they do differently?
Perhaps they would:
Leak classified information to the enemy?
Broadcast secret terrorist-disruption plans and tactics in the media?
Pursue activities to divide our country during a time of war?
Spend more time on legal rights for terrorists than empowering our country to defeat terrorists and terrorism?
Marvel at the sophistication and creativity of our enemies’ propaganda instead of exposing and defeating it?
Tolerate beheadings, oppression of women, persecution of Jews and Christians, threats (and actual use) of weapons of mass destruction and genocide as “cultural traits” needing more “understanding”?
Ensure sound-bites denouncing the war, belittling our country’s leaders, demoralizing our troops and calling for surrender reach the heroes volunteering in harm’s way?
Good thing these guys are on our side.
Except for ending slavery, Fascism, Nazism, and Communism, war never accomplished anything. For this latest “ism” that threatens our existence, all we are saying is: Give war a fighting chance. Quit letting selfish hatred of President Bush jeopardize the “land of the free because of the brave.”
They do want us to win, don’t they?
