AUBURN – A Requiem Mass for Judith May was held Wednesday at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Barbara Barth celebrating the Mass and reciting committal prayers at Lower Gloucester Cemetery in New Gloucester. During Mass Jonathan Whitmore served as organist and read the first reading. Dinah Bishop, a stepdaughter of Judith’s, read the second reading, Tom Barden served as acolyte and chalice bearer and Dick Provencal served as usher and lector. Graveside committal prayers then followed after a funeral procession to the cemetery, where Dinah Bishop read a poem in memory of Judith and all in attendance witnessed the blessing and burial. At the conclusion of committal prayers all were invited to a reception of fellowship at the home of Bud and Judith in Auburn. Arrangements by the family-owned Dillingham and Son Memorial Chapel and Tribute Center.
