NORWAY – Gov. John Baldacci will visit the Norway Memorial Library as part of a swing through Oxford County on Sunday.
Baldacci will be at the library at 10:30 a.m. His visit comes at the suggestion of Linda Lord, deputy state librarian of the Maine State Library, according to a release issued by the library Thursday.
“You will want to know that Norway has one of the best small-town libraries in the state,” Lord wrote to an aide of the governor urging the visit.
Baldacci will be met at the library by Town Manager David Holt and members of the Board of Selectmen, members of the library’s board of trustees, members of the Friends of Norway Library, local business people and some staff and librarians from other Oxford County libraries, the release stated.
