Lewiston – Rose Anna Roy, 86, of 20 Sylvan Ave., died Wednesday, Aug. 23, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Berlin, N.H., April 23, 1920, a daughter of the late Arthur and Nelida Arsenault Dionne, she was educated in Berlin schools. She was married to Herve J. Roy, who died Feb. 28, 2001.
She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish and worked at Bates Mfg., Continental Mill and retired as a shoe worker for Shapiro Bros.
She is survived by two daughters and spouses, Doris and Armand Metivier of Jay and Elaine and Gary Gurschick of Hebron; a son, Paul H. Roy of Lewiston; five grandchildren and spouses, Brian Metivier, Michelle and Donald Knox, Scott and Bonnie Pelletier, Gary Pelletier and Robert M.P. Roy; six great-grandchildren, Ashley and Justin Knox, Natasha, Peri and Arin Pelletier and Christian Roy; four sisters, Anita Doherty of Berlin, N.H., Rita Cote and husband, Normand, Bernadette Cyr and Doris Deraps, all of Lewiston; two brothers and spouses, Phil and Antoinette Dionne of Lewiston and Omer and Yolande Dionne of California.
She was predeceased by a son, Robert R. Roy; a grandson, Michael Roy; a sister and brother-in-law, Roger and Jeannette Rioux; and a brother-in-law, Maurice Doherty.
