AUBURN – A Memorial Service in Thanksgiving for the life of Erland Blake Starbird was held Saturday morning from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham & Son, with the Rev. James Fletcher presiding.

Readings were by granddaughter, Sylvia Beliveau; daughter, Pamella Beliveau; and daughter, Valarie Smith Starbird.

“You Belong to Me” and “Turning Point” were played by guitarist and grandsons, Kevin and Nathaniel Sipe.

Sharing of memories were expressed by granddaughter, Megan Beliveau; and daughters, Valorie Smith Starbird, Bonney Starbird, and Pamella Beliveau, as well as a sister, Thurlie Fish.

Copies of Erland’s memoirs were handed out by his daughter, Pamella, to grandchildren and family members, so that her father’s legacy would be passed on for others in tribute of her father’s life.

A funeral procession was formed to Keen’s Mills Cemetery in Turner, where Rev. Fletcher recited committal prayers. Following the graveside services, a reception of fellowship was held at the Universalist Church in Turner. Arrangements were by the family-owned Dillingham & Son Memorial Chapel & Tribute Center, Auburn.
