It is time to take our country back. Sen. Snowe has been 30-plus years in Washington. She has lost touch with the people of Maine.

She stands in the shadows and lets our government trample over us by spying on us and going against our constitutional rights.

She gives tax cuts to the rich and the oil companies. Snowe and Collins, both.

Sixty percent of the people in our country want our servicemen out of Iraq. Not one more Maine soldier or any American should lose his or her life.

Snowe and Collins voted against the minimum wage increase just two weeks ago.

Republicans were supposed to investigate oil companies. Snowe’s answer again? Do nothing.

Gas is over $3 a gallon. Every Maine family, town and city budget was wiped out because of the rich corporation rip-off. Snowe’s answer? Do nothing.

Two years ago, she voted for the drug bill for seniors, another profit windfall for the drug companies.

Everyone’s income has shrunk. The middle class is disappearing. Snowe’s answer? Do nothing.

There is no health care plan for Americans. Snowe’s answer? I’ve got mine. Get your own. Thousands of people don’t have any.

This state and nation need new direction. Jean Hay Bright will get it right and stand with us, not against us.

Snowe’s Senate seat belongs to the people of Maine, not Sen. Snowe.
