Legion to meet
LISBON FALLS – Nelson-Conley Post 66, American Legion, will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, at the Slovak Meeting Room, Avery Street.
The agenda will include voting on new members and a presentation by Frank Norwood, Master Sergeant Retired, on the Maine Military Funeral Honors Program.
All members, prospective members and active-duty personnel are invited.
Church changes
HEBRON – Hebron Community Baptist Church will suspend its service for Labor Day weekend and resume regular services at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 10. Questions about the fall programs can be directed to Pastor Meredith Dalessandro at 966-2694.
Boiler course
AUBURN – Central Maine Community College will offer a high pressure boiler (ENT 022-21) course from Sept. 12 to Nov. 28.
The class will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays.
Students will learn the techniques to operate and maintain a steam generating plant in a safe and efficient manner.
The course is designed to prepare the student for the high pressure boiler operator licensing examination. The cost of $418 includes the books.

Bridge results
NEW GLOUCESTER – The New Gloucester Bridge Club met Aug. 27 at the Masonic Building when an eight-player individual game was played. Finishing first in Flight A was Pat Quinn; second, Mike Quinn; first in Flight B, Sally Johnston; second, Audrey Burns.
