AUBURN – Carolyn Louise (Bryant) Kennedy, 53, a longtime resident of Leeds, died Monday, Aug. 28, at Androscoggin Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on May 24, 1953, in Farmington, the daughter of Roy and Shirley (Jordan) Bryant. She attended the Livermore schools and was a 1971 graduate of Livermore Falls High School.

On Aug. 20, 1978, she married Irville Kennedy in Fayette. She had been employed as a CNA at the Victorian Villa Nursing Home in Canton. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and crocheting, ceramics, crafts and the time she spent with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Irville of Leeds; her mother, Shirley York of Livermore; a son, Michael True and his wife, Gail, of Peru; a daughter, Mandy Poulin and her husband, Matt, of Lewiston; two brothers, Arnold Bryant and his wife, Nancy, of Livermore and Jim Bryant of Hartford; a sister, Darlene Morris and her husband, Stanley, of Rangeley; four grandchildren, Jacob True, Lily True, Damien Poulin and Hannah Poulin; stepchildren, Kevin Kennedy and his wife, Heather, of Oklahoma, John F. Kennedy and his wife, Krista, of Readfield, Donna Danforth and her husband, Bruce, of Bryant Pond, Tina Kennedy, Alicia Johnson and Gerold Kennedy; many stepgrandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her dad, Roy Bryant; and stepsons, Bubba Kennedy and Melvin Kennedy.

Carolyn’s family would like to thank the nurses on M1 at CMMC and Dr. Nicholette Erickson for their dedicated care during her hospital stay. She will be sadly missed by her family and her many friends.
