LEWISTON – Members of the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club will hear about the experience of participating in an Armed Forces Entertainment/USO tour from comedy magician Bob Nixon when they meet at noon Thursday, Aug. 31, at the Ramada Inn.

A resident of Auburn, Nixon has a long history in the entertainment industry, including performances throughout Maine and New England. He was instrumental in forming a comedy improv group that has performed at local nightspots.

Nixon was chosen to tour with Armed Forces Entertainment to entertain U.S. troops overseas last year in Korea, Japan, Okinawa, Guam, Kwajelein and Hawaii.

Anyone wishing to hear the speaker or to learn more about Rotary is welcome to attend.
