JAY – SAD 36 Jay Adult and Community Education will offer three new fall classes with artist instructor Barbara Hathaway.

The classes are “Illustrating Children’s Books,” from 6 to 8 p.m. starting Monday, Sept. 11; “All About Watercolor,” from 6 to 9 p.m. beginning Tuesday, Sept. 12, and “Acrylic Painting” from 6 to 9 p.m. starting Wednesday, Sept. 13.

The classes will be held at the Hathaway Studio, 32 Maple St., Wilton, and will run for six weeks. Materials list includes watercolor paper for “Illustrating Children’s Books” and “All About Watercolor,” brushes and watercolor paints. “Acrylic Painting” will require acrylic paint, brushes and a 16″ x 20″ canvas.

Hathaway is certified as a Michael Wilcox School of Painting watercolor art instructor and is listed on the Web site, http://userpages.prexar.com/bhaway/Hathaway Design & Art.html.

Hathaway is the art department chairwoman for the Maine Federation of Women’s Clubs and a member of Upcountry Artists.
