POLAND – Libby Bernier converted a cross in front of the net with less than six minutes to play to lift Poland to a 2-1 victory over Wells in WMC girls’ soccer action Friday.

The Warriors struck first as Brooke Stevens scored the only goal of the first half.

Katie Moreau knotted up the contest at 1-1 for the Knights midway through the second half, before Bernier chipped in the game-winner. Goalie Paige Piper performed well in net for Poland, making eight saves.

Mt. Abram 1, Hall-Dale 0

FARMINGDALE – Morgan Cummings broke the silence with a goal in the 73rd minute to lift Mt. Abram to a 1-0 win over Hall-Dale.

Following 73 minutes of back and forth scoreless action, Logahn Walker was able to break through on the left side and crossed the ball to Cummings to put the Roadrunners on the board.

Michelle Severence scored a penalty kick for the Bulldogs with just under two minutes left in the game, but it was disallowed due to movement before the kick. Mt. Abram’s second goalie of the contest, Kennie Norto, made the save on the rekick to seal the victory.

Dirigo 9, Boothbay 0

DIXFIELD – Dirigo peppered the Bootbay net with 59 shots, scoring nine times in a 9-0 rout.

Amy Gould, Katherine Gagne and Katie Hutchinson scored two goals apiece for the Cougars. Megan Russell, Jasmine Brooks and Shannon Daley also scored. Goalie Lanette Bryant stopped all three Boothbay shots.

Lisbon 7, Madison 0

LISBON – Ashley Beaulieu registered a hat trick and Kerstin Fairbanks scored a pair of goals as Lisbon coasted to a 7-0 victory over Madison.

Fairbanks scored both of her goals in the first half when the Greyhounds built a 4-0 lead. Sierra Guay and Renee Moore also scored.

Terry Hayden turned away 14 shots for the Bulldogs. Greyhound keeper Traelynne Hinckley made five saves.

Mt. Blue 7, Nokomis 1

FARMINGTON – Seven different players scored for Mt. Blue as the Cougars ran away with a 7-1 victory over Nokomis.

Abby Martin and Sandy Moloney each had a goal and two assists for Mt. Blue, and Rebecca Schoen notched a goal and an assist. Teresa Cooper scored the lone goal for the Warriors.

Caitlin Scott had six saves for the Cougars, and Laura Lyford also had six saves for Nokomis.

Brunswick 4, Oxf. Hills 0

SOUTH PARIS – Christina Damon ignited a four-goal outburst in the second half as Brunswick defeated Oxford Hills 4-0 in girls’ soccer Friday.

Sam Rivers stopped 12 shots for the Vikings while Mickell Barnes made 10 saves in earning the win.

Lincoln 3, Oak Hill 2, OT

NEWCASTLE – Emily Burnett pounced on a loose ball in the box and booted it into the net for her second goal to lift Lincoln to a 3-2 overtime victory over Oak Hill.

Lincoln led 2-0 at halftime, but Oak Hill responed with goal by Becca Roberts and Skye Boulette to send the game into overtime. Cortney Seguin stopped 13 shots for the Raiders.

Maranacook 6, Belfast 0

BELFAST – Laura St. John and Emily Perkins scored a pair of goals each as Maranacook coasted to a 6-0 victory over Belfast.

The Black Bears scored first on a goal from Alyssa Neptune to take a 1-0 lead after a sluggish first half.

Maranacook turned up the pressure as things began to click in the second half. St. John scored the first pair and Alyssa Betts had two assists.

Kat Kelly made 23 saves for the Lions, while Eryn Neptune and Michelle Norwood combined for five saves for Maranacook.
