FARMINGTON – The Farmington Recreation Department is sponsoring an Instructional Soccer League and a Prep Soccer Program this fall.

Registrations are now being taken for the Instructional League for boys and girls in Grades 1-6. There will be 2 divisions, Grades 1-3 and Grades 4-6. Heading the program will be Larissa O’Connor, currently a freshman majoring in Sports Management at Thomas College. Registration fee is $20 for Farmington residents and $25 for those who do not reside in the immediate Farmington area. A registration session is set for Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 9 a.m. at the Community Center. Regular season begins Sept. 24.

Sign-ups are also being accepted for the Prep Soccer Program designed for Kindergarten students and those ages 5-6. It’s a non-competitive format, the 6-week progam to be held Sunday afternoons beginning Sept. 10 at the Little League Park at Hippach Field. Vanessa Clark, a freshman majoring in Education at UMF will head the program. The entry fee is the same as for the Instructional League. A registration session is planned for Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 9 a.m. at the Community Center.

Registration forms for either program are available at the Recreation Department Office in the Farmington Community Center.
