AUBURN – Heaven received another angel on Friday night, Sept. 1, when Florence A. Verville, 90, of Lewiston, passed away at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice in Auburn.

Her motto in life was “Keep smiling” and she lived it until the very end, when she smiled and took her last breath with her family by her side.

Born in Lewiston on Nov. 8, 1915, she was the daughter of Charles Dube and Delvina Dubois Dube.

She was a graduate of Lewiston High School Class of 1934, and maintained friendships with her high school friends club (true pals forever).

She married Roland L. Verville Sr. on Sept. 10, 1938; he passed away on June 23, 1996.

She loved gardening, traveling to the ocean, and going out to eat, but most of all spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by a son, Richard Verville of Thailand; a daughter, Mary “Anne” Lawson and husband, Russell of Londonderry, N.H.; a sister, Lorraine and husband, Bertrand Poirier of Auburn; a brother, Arthur and his wife, Helen Dube of Lewiston; a daughter-in-law and friend, Claudette Verville of Augusta; five grandchildren, James Verville and his wife Kim, Kim Verville-Walker, Sean Keene, Kristina Keene-Heller, and Russell Jr.; five great-grandchildren, and one on the way.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; a son, Roland “Sonny” Verville Jr.; a brother, Joseph Dube; four sisters, Marie Dube, Simonne Dube, Jeannette Tetreault, and Georgette Yorkston.
