AARP meeting

PARIS – The Oxford Hills Chapter of AARP will meet on Monday, Sept. 11, at the First Congregational Church, East Main Street, South Paris. Lunch will be at noon, and reservations are required by calling Henrietta at 743-6722 by noon Friday, Sept. 8.

Menu is macaroni and cheese, ham, vegetable and dessert, and cost is $6.50. The meeting will begin at 1 p.m.

Camera club

PARIS – The Oxford Hills Camera Club will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays starting Sept. 11, in room C105, Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. Dues are $20 a year, payable at the meeting.

Weekly meetings include a time for sharing, comparing and showing off images. Field trips are planned locally as well as to the coast and New Hampshire. Also available are statewide photo competitions and joint activities with other clubs around Maine.

The club has participated in the Norway Sidewalk Art Show, Founders Day and Mollyockett Day in Bethel. There are no meetings on holidays or if the Adult Education classes are canceled because of weather.

Blacksmith meet

WILTON – The Western Maine Blacksmith’s Association will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, at the Wilton Historical Society. A program is planned.
