Aug. 18 was a perfect morning for hot-air balloons. Beautiful colors, special shapes, and so many people from Lewiston and Auburn and surrounding towns. It was a good chance for a hot cup of coffee, a big smile and maybe a jacket or sweatshirt.
Then, a governor’s aide was looking to round up people to shake hands with our governor. Not many takers. Some even turned and walked away.
It appeared to me that the governor does not have many friends in L-A.
Looks like he’ll need a Washington favor in the fall to earn a living.
