JAY – Money was stolen from a local gas station on Sunday or Monday, police said Tuesday.

Police received a report that an undisclosed amount of startup cash was missing Monday morning, Cpl. Jeffrey Fournier said Tuesday.

There were no signs of forced entry into the Riley Road building, and Fournier said that police think the burglary might have been committed by someone who had a key or who knew someone who had a key.

The burglary is currently under investigation, Fournier said.
