LEWISTON – Due to a scheduling conflict, the registration deadline for the Little Rock Scripture Study series has been extended to Friday, Sept. 8. The nationally-recognized Catholic Bible study program will be available one afternoon and three evenings a week beginning Sunday, Sept. 10, for 10 weeks, ending in mid-November.

Sunday evening at Holy Cross Parish Hall will feature a study on the Gospel of Mark, and Monday evening at Holy Cross there will be a new updated study on the Acts of the Apostles.

On Tuesday afternoon in St. Joseph’s Parish Hall “Letters from Prison,” a study of Paul’s writings while in captivity, will be the topic, and on Thursday evening at Sacred Heart Parish Hall there will be a study on the Book of Exodus.

Evening studies will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m., and the afternoon study from 2:30 to 4 p.m. All studies have openings available. The afternoon study has been scheduled specifically for those who cannot drive in the evenings, but would like to participate in a regular 10-week program.

Each person registered will become a member of a small group with a trained facilitator. After a period of discussion, all groups will join to view a 20-minute teaching video, which will summarize the studies of the week and provide insight into difficult passages.

All videos contain authentic Catholic teaching, provided by priests and advanced-degree theologians.

Registrations can be found on tables and in literature racks of all local Catholic churches and at www.holycrosslewiston.com/lrock.html. All studies will be $12 each to cover the cost of commentaries and study guides, as well as to help cover the cost of the video presentations.

Registration forms and checks must be mailed and will be accepted until Friday, Sept. 8. For more information, contact Denise Mailhot, coordinator, at 786-3380, or e-mail [email protected].
