AUBURN – Rene Chabot, 74, of Odd Fellows and Rebekah’s in Auburn, went to be with Jesus Tuesday, Sept. 5.
He was born in Jay, Oct. 25, 1931, the son of Albert and Lillian (Couture) Chabot.
He worked for Etonic Shoe retiring in 1991. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the VFW on Minot Avenue and Legion Post 150 of Mechanic Falls. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He especially loved animals.
His “two girls,” daughter Debra and granddaughter Victoria will sadly miss him.
Survivors include one daughter, Debra Cusson of Auburn; three sons, Pierre of Clearwater Fla., Daniel and wife, Sue, of Poland and Keith of Minot; four sisters, Rita Pray of Dedham, Mass., Rena’ Battiparano of Whitefield, N.H., Regina Benard and husband, Stephen, of Poland and Ruth McGeachan of New Port Richey, Fla.; three brothers, Raymond and wife, Marie, of Roxbury Pond, Roger and wife, Dorothy, of Water Mill, N.Y. and Roland and wife, Gloria, of Mechanic Falls; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 27 nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Lillian; brother-in-law, Fred Pray; and nephew, Richard Chabot.
