BATH – Tiera Durgin converted a pass from Joanna Strong in overtime to lift Oxford Hills to a 2-1 victory over Morse.

Durgin saw an opening after a scramble in front of the net and capitalized. Tia Pratt also tallied for the Vikings (2-1) to complete the scoring. Aleksys Pike made nine saves in net to notch the win.

The lone goal for the Shipbuilders (0-3) was tallied by Olivia Getterling, with an assist from Hannah Miller. Danielle Fontaine turned aside eight shots.

Cony 2, Mt. Blue 0

FARMINGTON – Allison Cheever scored an unassisted goal with one minute remaining to seal a 2-0 Cony victory over Mt. Blue in a KVAC field hockey matchup Thursday.

Brittany Ford converted a pass from Kayla Belanger with 2:30 left to play to give the Rams (3-0) a 1-0 lead. Natalie Specter was a perfect 10-for-10 in net to preserve the shutout.

Ashley Lewia handled netkeeping duties for the Cougars (1-2), turning aside 11 shots.

Cape Elizabeth 2, Gray-NG 1 (OT)

GRAY – Amy Sturgem stole the ball at midfield and broke in alone on Patriots keeper Nicole Ganem to score the winning goal as Cape Elizabeth slipped past Gray-New Gloucester 2-1 in WMC field hockey.

Sturgem converted on the one-on-one breakaway with 3:13 remaining in extra time. Tricia Thibodeau also scored for the Capers (2-1).

Liza Sherlock tallied the lone goal for the Patriots (0-3) to tie the game in the 16th minute of the second half. Ganem finished the game with six saves.

Messalonskee 6, EL 1

OAKLAND – Lindsey Begley and Emily Mattos netted two goals apiece Thursday as Messalonskee rolled past Edward Little 6-1 in KVAC field hockey action.

Lauren Veilleux and Ashley Busque also tallied for the Eagles (3-0). Beth Ridley made nine saves in net.

Ally Butler scored the lone goal for the Red Eddies (1-2) with an assist from Samantha Dean. Kayla Cummings and JoJo Hughes split time in net for EL, combining for 28 saves.

Lake Region 6, Poland 1

BRIDGTON – Kayla Nowell led a group of five players to score goals as Lake Region defeated Poland 6-1 in a WMC field hockey matchup Thursday.

Ellie Veroni, Rachael Ferland, Caroline Skarbinski and Kelsey Powers also tallied for the Lakers.

Kit Levine scored the Knights’ goal with an assist from Nicole Stacey. Dezaray DeBurra handled netkeeping duties, turning away 29 shots.
