AUBURN – Auburn and Lewiston men’s softball champs and one runner-up will be meeting in a pair of best-of-3 Twin City championship series next week at Upper Pettengill.

Lewiston’s American League king, Poland Spring, will be taking on Auburn Players League runner-up, Hart Transportation, Monday and Tuesday at 6 p.m., with the “if” game slated for Wednesday.

Lewiston’s National League champ, B&T Pallet, will clash with Auburn Players League champion, Major Automotive, Monday and Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. If the teams split, the deciding game will be played Wednesday.

Major Automotive outlasted Hart Transportation 15-14 in Tuesday’s Auburn post-season championship game.

Fall league to begin

LEWISTON – A total of 8 clubs are entered in the Lewiston Rec Fall Softball League that begins play Sunday.

The entries and managers: Import Auto Plus, Joe Walker; Uncle Andy’s, Grant Sperry; Martin’s Country Homes, Jason Becvar; Roopers, Bob Martin; 20-M Club, Chris Bickford; Ball Busters, Ray Berube; Island Oasis, Jeff Childs; Hart Transportation, Joey.

Doubleheaders will be played on Sundays through October 15 at the Randall Road complex. Following is Sunday’s opening schedule: 8:00, 9:15, Uncle Andy’s vs Import Auto, Randall-1; Hart Transportation vs Island Oasis, R-3; 10:30, 12:00, Ball Busters vs 20-M Club, R-1; Roopers vs Martin’s Country Homes, R-3.
