Lewiston – Thomas M. Boyd, 15, of South Paris died Saturday, Sept. 9, as a result of an ATV accident.
Thomas was born in San Angelo, Texas, on May 23, 1991, the son of Thomas P. and Beverly J. Welch Boyd. He was a sophomore at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. Thomas loved life. He would give the shirt off his back for anyone who asked. He was a bright young man with a heart as big as I’ve seen.
He was very gifted in art, his drawings were amazing. He loved playing basketball in the league with his dad and his papa, also anytime he had a ball and a hoop. He enjoyed lifting weights and playing video games. His favorite thing to do in all this world was to go to our home church and be with his peers worshipping God. He was involved with a Sunday school class, and his favorite event was youth group.
Thomas is survived by his parents of South Paris; his sister, Maryssa C. Boyd of South Paris; his grandparents, Jim and Goldie Welch of Waterford and Perry and Mary Boyd of Seminole, Fla.; a great-grandmother, Thelma Holden of West Paris; aunts and uncles, Buddy and Dawn Welch of Woodstock, Mike and Delores Welch of Greenville, S.C., Cathy and Dave Knightly of Oxford, Jim and Michelle Welch of Springfield, Ohio and Susan Boyd Knowlton of New York; and 14 cousins.
