RUMFORD – The River Valley Technology Center, the River Valley Growth Council and the River Valley Chamber of Commerce will offer another educational opportunity from the Lunch and Learn series. The topic for September is “Best Practices – Human Resource Guidelines for Minding Your Business.”

The session will cover a variety of topics, including good hiring/firing practices, performance issues and evaluations, some basic polices to have in place to ensure equity in the workplace and role-playing of common and difficult situations.

Cynthia Giroux of Oxford Federal Credit Union, Peter Theriault of Ethan Allen Inc., Shannon Welch of Rumford Group Home, and Jennifer Kreckel of Kaynor and Kreckel will hold the session.

The seminars are intended to provide information to entrepreneurs, start-ups and existing businesses in an affordable way.

The third seminar in the six-month series will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 20, at the River Valley Technology Center on Lovell Street. The cost is $10 and includes lunch.
