EAST HARTFORD, Conn. – Edith A. “Edie” Meisner, 91, died Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Haven Health Center. She was formerly of Rumford, where she had lived most of her life.

She was born in Rumford, on Jan. 7, 1915, a daughter of Warren and Ella (Rich) Bellows. She attended Rumford schools. She was a member of the Rumford United Methodist Church and Oozalluc Temple of the Pythian Sisters of Mexico. She loved music, especially playing the piano.

She was married in Andover, on June 26, 1942, to the late Laurie W. Meisner, who died in Rumford on Oct. 21, 1970.

Survivors include a son, Warren Meisner of East Hartford, Conn.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Adelia Curato of Rumford; many step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Velma Freeman of West Stafford, Conn.
