LIVERMORE FALLS – New Norlands Grange 580 is having a membership drive during September.
The Grange was organized in 1867 and was known as the Order of Patrons of Husbandry. The Grange stresses organization, education, cooperation and legislation as a remedy for some of the farm and national problems.
Within a year after its organization, the Grange had spread from New York to California and from Mississippi to Minnesota.
Today Grange activities include reading books, photography, crafts, sewing, poetry, skit writing and community service projects. Anyone interested in joining the Grange should call 897-3215.
