AUGUSTA – Lillian V. Fleury Hebert, 76, of Winthrop passed away Wednesday, Sept. 13, at MaineGeneral Medical Center with her family members at her side.

She was born in Winthrop on June 21, 1930, the daughter of Henry and Bernadette (Chabot) Fleury. She attended Winthrop schools and graduated from Winthrop High School in 1949. She moved to Hartford, Conn., in 1950, and went to work for Royal Typewriter until her marriage to Adrian Hebert Jan. 19, 1951. She returned to Winthrop in 1976, and was employed at various businesses in the area. She went to work for the Division of Motor Vehicles, Office of the Secretary of State, in 1985, retiring in 2003.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, murder mysteries, watching court TV and going out to eat with family and friends. She was a very family-oriented person.

She is survived by her son, Paul Hebert and his wife, Cathy; daughters, Louise DiMartino and her husband, Sal, Linda Cooper and her husband, Carl, Joanne Cummings and her husband, Peter; her son-in-law, Tim Reynolds; sisters, Cecile Marie Stone and her husband, Don, Lorraine Fleury, Alice Brooks and her husband, Terry; grandchildren, Michael and Molly Hebert, Christopher and Erin Reynolds, Mathew and Elizabeth DiMartino, Ryan Cummings; a step-granddaughter, Amy Cooper; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Susan Reynolds; and grandson, Steve DiMartino.

Lillian’s family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Heritage Living Center for the care given Lillian since October 2005. Her family would also like to thank the doctors and nurses at MaineGeneral Medical Center Emergency Department and Critical Care Unit for the loving care given to Lillian in her last few weeks. They also would like to thank her friends who visited so faithfully.
