BETHEL – Max Meader punched in a pair of goals and Andy Whitney scored and earned two assist as undefeated Telstar glided to a 5-1 victory over the Hall-Dale Bulldogs in boys’ soccer Friday afternoon.

The Bulldogs were no match for the Rebels, who easily built a 3-0 advantage in the first half thanks to goals Lewis Thornton, Chris Schwarz and Meader.

Hall-Dale scored an unassisted goal in the second half by Oryan Lahti.

Telstar (6-0) finished off the Bulldogs with two goals by Meader and Whitney.

Carrabec 4, Lisbon 1

NORTH ANSON – Justin Cummings scored three goals to lead Carrabec to a 4-1 victory over Lisbon.

Nick Caldwell also scored for the Cobras. Marcus Bubar scored the lone goal for the Greyhounds (0-5).

Mike Call made 14 saves for Lisbon, while Antonio Sarli stopped seven shots for Carrabec.

Dirigo 3, Wiscasset 2

DIXFIELD – Nick Howe’s header 1:41 into the first overtime lifted undefeated Dirigo to a 3-2 victory over Wiscasset.

Colby Knapp picked up the assist on the game-winner with a throw-in. Howe headed the ball past Wiscasset keeper Zach Hartman (14 saves), who was spectacular in defeat.

Scott James scored both goals for the Redskins (2-3). Jon Smith scored the first goal for the Cougars (6-0), while Tyler Gates tied the game with 10 minutes left in regulation.

Josh Saphier made nine saves in the win.
